                                                  ACT ONE- 'Doll House'

          At the being of  the play you would think Nora don't know anything , she foul Torvalds with this too. Cause she  know about business and stuff if she got a loan without Torvalds knowing .Torvalds treat Nora like his child. Like when he said "if she gave into her sweet tooth  ".He wants to make sure that Nora stay pretty and he also thinks she not smart like when he say "is it my little squirrel bustling about Torvalds  is the bread winner in the family .i think Nora is intelligent and she know how to use torvald for things. she acts like she don't know anything when shes around him. she was willing to break the law in order to make sure of  Torvald’s health and that  shows her courage.Torvald embraces the belief that a man’s role in marriage is to protect and guide his wife. He clearly enjoys the idea that Nora needs his guidance, and he treat her like a father would.  “A home that depends on loans and debt is not beautiful because it is not free.”




           Krogstad he wants to keep his job at the bank so this can explain his behavior . Nora and Krogstad have committed the same crime: forgery of signatures. Christine Linde An old family friend of Nora's, Christine is a widow.Dr. Rank A family friend of the Helmers. ANNE The children's nurse."One day I might, yes. Many years from now, when I’ve lost my looks a little. Don’t laugh. I mean, of course, a time will come when Torvald is not as devoted to me, not quite so happy when I dance for him, and dress for him, and play with him".that quote mean.Nora describes to Mrs. Linde  how  she would consider telling Torvald about the secret loan she took in order to save his life.  she might consider telling him when she gets older and loses her attractiveness is important because it shows that Nora has a sense of the true nature of her marriage
